We're Students Supporting Students

Our Student-for-Student Counseling initiative offers a confidential, welcoming environment where fellow students listen, support, and help you navigate life's challenges.

What is S4S ?
What?
This is a student-led mental health support service where students with at least one year or more of psychosocial counseling training offer affordable, compassionate, and confidential sessions to fellow students by undertaking the role of a Counselor Trainee.
Why?
Many students don’t start or continue therapy because it’s expensive, overwhelming, or hard to access. This service is approachable, inclusive, affordable, and ethical.
Who is it for?
Any student who wants to explore therapy; whether for emotional support, stress, academic pressure, relationships, or self-awareness. You don't need a diagnosis to talk to someone.
Who provides?
Trained students, i.e. Counselor Trainees with an academic background in psychology or psychosocial counseling (min. 1 year of training).
Are counselors supervised?
Yes, all sessions are guided by peer and expert supervisors.
When and where?
Sessions are available both In-person at Project Green Circle (Pulchowk) and Online.
What does a session look like?
Each session is 45 minutes long and available at an affordable cost.
Affordable support at just NPR. 750 per session, or choose the 5-session package for NPR. 2,500 and enjoy extra savings.
Before beginning your first session, you will sign a consent form that ensures both your safety and well-being.
Sessions are confidential and non-judgemental, so you can speak openly about anything that is on your mind.
You can discuss challenges you’re facing, stress, relationships, academics, or use the session as a space to explore yourself on a deeper level.
Your counselor will listen and support you in exploring your thoughts and feelings.
